A 60 minute yoga class suitable for anyone looking for a gentle style to increase strength and mobility whilst also having an hour of relaxation and time to unwind.
Using a chair for support, this practice is an accessible way for many people who wouldn’t access a regular class usually to gain from the many wonderful benefits of yoga.
Tuesdays, 6-7pm – £10.00
Vinyasa Flow is a beautiful dance like sequence that allows you the student, to connect on a deeper level to your physical practice | asana | whilst steadying the breath | pranayama | thus allowing the thoughts | chitta | to ease and quieten.
Using chanting and music to uplift and a blissful relaxation to prepare for meditation, this class allows you to explore and delve a little deeper into your Yoga whether you come to be challenged, to stretch or to relax. This class is suitable for those with some asana knowledge or confident beginners.
Thursdays, 7-8pm – £18.00
Sound and rest are great allies in helping to unwind physical tensions and holding patterns. They enable a conscious engagement in the healing process from a place of safety.
As sound moves through us it brings an awareness of any restrictions in the breathing and within the body, allowing space for a softening and release to happen. Different sensations can be felt as energy shifts and frees itself.
Sound therapy can assist hugely with stress management and sleep issues as it supports the bodies innate healing processes by taking us into deeper relaxation/altered states.
Gentle, harmonic sound can soothe the emotions and nervous system. Therapeutically, sound can also be used to safely reintegrate and release trauma patterns. Afterwards we can feel a deeper sense of rest, integration, alignment and overall balance.
Beyond this it can allow us to experience beautiful side effects which can connect us back in to our essence and to the magic and mystery of life… Colours, visions, sensations, deeper healing and journeys open doorways to something way beyond any restrictive ideas of self and the boundaries imposed by the outside world. I am privileged to be able to facilitate these journeys and inner world explorations.
